Pacific Tour

After taking an international hiatus last year, I bought myself a one-way ticket to Thailand for this December.  I keep rolling around the phrase "one-way" in my mind and trying to figure out what that means to me.  This is one of the many 'firsts' that go along with this trip.  It's my first time traveling solo.  First time in Asia (although, I plan on spending most of my time in New Zealand again).  Hopefully, first section of a thru-hike.  And first time traveling for more than a month!  While traveling is not new to me, most aspects of this adventure are.

After Peru, I knew that my next time going overseas would be alone.  Although I have people who have offered to be travel partners, I really want this for myself.  I want to take my time in places and actually DO things.  Climbing, yoga, and cooking & massage classes sound like some spectacular self-improvement projects.  Not to mention doing the south portion of the Te Araroa trail.  Working 40-100 hour weeks outside from May until October leaves little room or desire to spend all my free time camping and hiking.  I'll just squeeze it all into my winter!  Er...southern summer?

Time to start making packing lists and getting tips on where to go, what to see, who to know.
